Peran Pendidikan Multikultural dalam Membangun Toleransi di Sekolah Menengah
Abstract
This study explores the role of multicultural education in promoting tolerance and fostering an inclusive environment in secondary schools. In a multicultural society, it is essential to understand how education can bridge cultural differences and reduce prejudice. The research examines how multicultural education practices impact students' attitudes toward diversity and inclusion, particularly in a school setting. The findings reveal that curriculum integration, teacher training, and school-wide initiatives focused on cultural understanding are crucial in promoting tolerance. Moreover, peer interactions and active discussions about diversity have been shown to enhance students' acceptance and respect for others. The study concludes that incorporating multicultural education into the curriculum not only enhances students' academic growth but also contributes to the development of a more harmonious and tolerant school environment.
